Mrs. Heckstetter teaches us science and reading!
We have 8 green anoles for classroom pets (lizards).
We are working in science on a unit studying food chains and webs.
We are currently reading the book “The Cricket in Times Square”.

    I am not sure were to post our week 1 blogging challenge activity, so I thought I would post it here:

    This blog is used by students in 19 different schools who need a challenge during the school day! To meet us, you can read some of our bitstrips bio-poems!

  2. Hello again!
    I thought I would answer the questions above for my students!
    1. What country are you from? Waterloo Region, Ontario Canada. The 19 Schools I work with are in Kitchener, Wellesley, New Hamburg, Baden and New Dundee!
    2. What grade are you in? Students working on the blog are from grade 4 – 8
    3. What is your school like? I will let the students comment on this, since there are so many different schools in different parts of our region!
    4. How many students are in your classroom? Working on the blog there are approximately 120 students:)
    5. Tell us something you are learning about right now. I will let the students let you know about this part!!

  3. 1.We are from Taradale in New Zealand.
    2.We are both year 4’s at Arthur Miller School
    3.We have about 300 students, 2 big fields and 2 cool playgrounds at our school.
    4.We have 27 kids in our class and we are in room 9.
    5.We are learning about Extreme Exploration, Antarctic explorers.

      1. Sorry guys, I have just had a chance to check your reply. My students get a 20 minute break mid-morning and a one hour break for lunch. Some of my students will give you a more detailed reply soon. 🙂

      2. 1. I do like being in Taradale New Zealand.
        2. My favourite fruit is apples.
        3. My class is noisy sometimes.
        4.My schools playgrounds have a train monkey bars.
        5.Yes our school have singing clubs.

    I teach grade 3 and 4
    3. What is your school like?
    We have 8 classes and just under 200 students. The students have specialist subjects in PE, Music, Art and Science.
    4. How many students are in your classroom?
    I have3 23 lovely students in my class.
    5. Tell us something you are learning about right now.
    We have just started learning about Australia! The States, Capital Cities, emblems and flags.
