  1. Good morning!
I am not sure were to post our week 1 blogging challenge activity, so I thought I would post it here:

This blog is used by students in 19 different schools who need a challenge during the school day! To meet us, you can read some of our bitstrips bio-poems!

    Grade 3 and 4’s: http://www.bitstripsforschools.com/g/X3K

    1. Thank you so much for visiting our blog. We are always looking for classes around the world to connect with. We will visit and comment on your comics soon!

  2. Hi. We are a 4th grade class from New Jersey, USA. We are also participating in the blog challenge. We have 8 students in our class. We are learning about the regions of New Jersey, we just finished reading Tuck Everlasting (we loved it) and we are just starting to read Riding Freedom.

    1. We were actually thinking of reading Tuck Everlasting in the future. It sounds like you can recommend it, we look forward to more blogging with you in the future!

  3. Hi Mrs. Sheckstetter,

Thanks for your informative and interesting comment on our blog – though we are in different grade levels, it seems we are doing many of the same things!

You are right – we *just* started Food Chains and Food Webs, and are beginning the unit by reviewing plants, their parts & what they do, and what they need to grow effectively. Our anoles will arrive later this month when we have nice grassy terrariums for them to live in 🙂

We also have a Living Wax Museum. We spend about 6 weeks preparing, and the kids learn so much. We come to life once during the day, and then in the evening. We have about 100 kids lining the halls of the school, all dressed up with their props and memorized speeches. It’s an amazing night every year, and it has become a bit of a tradition for our 3rd graders.

A day off to do report cards! How nice! We have two days off — Saturday and Sunday, hee hee….

What a fast lunch & recess period!!! Hopefully you find ways to move and wiggle during the day, as that would be so difficult to last the whole duration!

We really appreciate your stopping by our blog and saying hello – we enjoyed peeking in at your plant projects and were very impressed. This blogging challenge hasn’t been a challenge at all – it has been a pleasure!

Enjoy your weekend, and we’ll see you on the Web!

    Dream Big,
    Mrs. Brooks
