Week of September 12th-16th!!!

Things are rolling very well in fourth grade now! We have learned our schedule, procedures, and rules to make our days successful! I look forward to seeing everything we are going to learn together this year!

Monday: read 20 minutes
Tuesday: read 20 minutes, Bookmobile, p.e.
Wednesday: read 20 minutes, p.e.
Thursday: read 20 minutes
Friday: read 20 minutes, picture day, spelling test, library
Saturday: Hazelwood West Homecoming parade

Science: We have finished looking at our maps in the unit and will now begin learning about how fossils are formed. Scientists learned that the continents used to be connected by studying fossil patterns. Students will even get to make a fossil to bring home this week!

Reading: This week we will focus on the text structures of magazine articles. Magazine articles often contain headings, interviews, research, answer Who/What/When/Where/Why/How questions, and show cause and effect/ problem and solution/ or main idea and details. Spelling: This week our words with follow the vowel-consonant-silent e pattern. Our words include:
