ELA: We will have a spelling test on Friday of this week and have added words that have the -een sound pattern (sheen, teen, preen, queen, seen, green). These words will be tested with our -eech words from last week. We are also taking our end of the unit reading assessment this week. There are no new skills, just skills from the first day of school until last Friday. Students may visit prior weeks to practice. Here are some general practice quizzes on reading comprehension for fourth grade:
1. Fourth Grade Reading
2. Huge Collection of Fourth grade Practice Tests

Science: We will finish our first quarter unit by learning about physical (physical properties change such as color, size, etc) and chemical changes (changes that result in a new substance formed such as rusting and burning). We will get a chance to make some physical and chemical changes. We are looking at being ready to take our unit test on Monday, October 16th. Students will begin bringing home flash cards, study guides, and practice tests early next week. This will give them at least one week to study. Don’t forget to visit some of the videos and practice activities on this website as well.
1. Interactive Game click on chemical or physical for each picture given
2. Virtual lab on chemical and physical changes
3. Studyjams Video/Practice Quiz about Chemical and Physical Changes
