Wow! I can’t believe we started our week with an AMI day! Its incredible how bad the roads can get with just a little bit of ice on the ground. I hope everyone is staying safe out there. Here is a summary of our week:
Monday: AMI Day- check AMI classroom for daily work
Tuesday: read 20 minutes, practice spelling words, Bookmobile, Hearing Screenings
Wednesday: read 20 minutes, practice spelling words, DOJO recess
Thursday: read 20 minutes, practice spelling words
Friday: read 20 minutes, spelling test, Wildcat Assembly 2:50
Science: We will continue our work with light and sound energy, however we will focus on how light and sound energy travels in waves. We will model making waves learning about wavelength, amplitude, trough, crest, etc. We will learn that the waves will change shape based on how loud or bright the light/sound is. Reading: We are continuing our reading of the chapter book “Clean Getaway” this week, chapters 6-9. We will focus on using dialogue to make inferences about a character, identifying similes, and looking at what the text say implicitly. Students can practice below:
