ELA: We are getting close to finishing up our spelling unit for the year. This week we are focusing on words with the suffix -ship (hardship, friendship, citizenship, internship) and the suffix -sion (tension, compulsion). We only have 2 spelling tests left- one next week, and then 2 weeks later. Our skill for the week includes comparing two pieces of text and identifying similar relevant information from both. Science: We are continuing our work on our research project. Students chose 4 different animals, described their habitat, and then told about a body structure or sense for each animal. They then had to describe how that structure or sense helped the animal survive, as well as comparing and contrasting the 4 animals. When students were finished gathering facts, they turned their facts into a Google Slide presentation. Here are some plant and animal practice activities:
