Week of May 21st-25th!!!

Yay!!! It is our last full week of school! I am so happy to be back from the hospital and with my class. I would have hated to miss the last week. Here are some upcoming dates:

No more reading logs!!!
Thursday: wear blue/Field Day- wear sunscreen, bring hat/sunglasses/tennis shoes
Tuesday, May 29th- last day: Move-Up day, early dismissal at 11:50

Reading: We are wrapping up our year by watching a movie from our completed novel, “The Capture”, making memory books, playing a grade level trivia game, and working on a reader’s theater script. This week is the last week for students to take tests on any chapter book they might be reading, and all other tests are complete.

Science: Students are working on a “Teach the Teacher” project. Since our end of the year was cut short with my absence, I have given the students a list of terms/topics to choose from and create a project from a teacher’s point of view to teach their topic to the class. They can choose to make a poster, worksheet, mini-book, slideshow, etc to teach their topic. Students will share their projects on Friday. In the meantime, check out the following food chain practice pages:
1. Feed the Dingo game
2. Jungle Jeopardy game
3. Food Chains video
