Week of May 7th-11th!!!

We are down to our final 3 full weeks of school and activities and events are really beginning to pick up. We are officially done with MAP testing and will take our 4th grade field trip on Friday, May 11th. We also have several other fun activities planned, so check our schedule often. Here we go:

Monday-Thursday: read 20 minutes, reading log
Tuesday: Family Fun night: talent show, art show, BOGO Book Fair, bbq, snow cones!
Wednesday: bike/walk to school day!
Friday: reading logs due, final weekly report goes home (I will email/call in the future if there are issues)
**field trip on Friday: bring lunch, water bottle, hat, sunglasses, wear tennis shoes, and apply both sunscreen and bug spray before you arrive at school
Monday, May 14th: all library books due!
Tuesday, May 15th: all Bookmobile books due
Friday, May 18th: field day!
Tuesday, May 29th: last day of school, dismissal at 11:50

ELA: We have finished reading our final novel of fourth grade, “The Capture”. We will take the Reading Counts quiz, complete an end of book project, and watch the movie. We are also finished with spelling for the remainder of the year and will complete our final ELA test later this week. The test coverts topics we have reviewed all year long. Next week we will work on Innovation Week. Students will pick a topic they want to learn more about and then create a project to go along with their topic.

Science: We will continue our study on Missouri animals and plants by focusing on internal cues, external cues, and how animals use their senses to survive. We will wrap up the week by taking a hike, visiting a museum, and playing a game at Powder Valley Nature Center on Friday. Check out the following:
