Room 16 students have been studying Rosa Parks and the Civil Rights Movement after Dr. Martin Luther King day. We read a drama titled, “The Day Rosa Parks was Arrested”. Students chose a character from the drama to “interview” in their podcasts. Students had to ask questions and use details from the drama to show the character’s perspective of Rosa Parks being arrested. Some of the characters chosen include Rosa Parks, the bus driver in Montgomery who called the police, the arresting officers, African American bystanders, and Dr. King. Check them out below!
