Hi Mrs. Hecksetter’s Class!
Thanks for the note! We are sad that you have slow motion computers! We are really lucky here at the Waterloo Region District School Board, all of our over 100 elementary schools have dual boot computers. A dual boot computer runs using the Windows and the Mac Platform, so it is like having two computers in one! My favourite side is the Apple Side:) The other new thing with our school board this year, is that the board has made it so that all of our schools have wireless routers! Since we have such new computers, we can do many activities using them!!
You are so lucky, 27 days of school left! We have 49 days left. When do you go back to school in the fall? We are finished the very last day of June and won’t be going back until September 4 or 5!
Today some of my blogging groups tried something different. We went to planetfesto.org and started to create a banner to the planet earth! We are so jealous of the technology in your schools! Our class is applying for a smartboard for our classroom next year for use in daily instruction. We are crossing our fingers that we get chosen for this wonderful learning tool! We would give anything for dual boot computers, they would give us so many more opportunities to incorporate technology into our daily lessons! Our last day of school is May 22 and students return August 13 (although the teachers have to come back on August 6). We love your banner and we are going to try to make one for our classroom as well! Thanks for your detailed posts and visits to our blog. We love hearing what other schools are doing.
