Well, that was an unexpected four day weekend! I hope everyone had fun and stayed warm. I also hope you took some time to act in a way that shows kindness to all, just like Dr. King wanted.

ELA: This week we will learn words with the -ess suffix (princess waitress, hostess, actress) and words with the -hood suffix (neighborhood, statehood, falsehood, nationhood). We will also work on looking at how characters interact with each other in a story and compare/contrast these interactions. There are not a lot of character interaction activities on the internet, so we will practice a lot in class.

Science: We will continue our learning on waves and the different parts of waves: amplitude, wavelength, trough, and crest. We will also begin talking about water waves and how they move.
