I am so thankful for all of the wonderful fourth graders we have this year, and the many wonderful parents who support them at home! I hope everyone gets a chance to relax and spend time with loved ones over our 5 day break. Here are some important dates:

4. Thanksgiving Break- Wednesday, November 23rd-Sunday, November 27th
ELA: This week we will focus on comparing our lives and Thanksgiving celebrations to those of the pilgrims many years ago. We will look at recreations (secondhand accounts) to find facts about life many years ago.
Science: Students will begin learning about the three rock groups: igneous (from magma/lava), sedimentary (from sediment found on the bottom of rivers, lakes, and the ocean), and metamorphic (when one rock changes into another rock type from heat and pressure in the earth).
