ELA: We are continuing spelling with similar sound patterns this week: -ence (fence, hence, whence) and -ense (sense, tense). We are also taking our first monthly Evaluate test. This test checks proficiency on all fourth grade learning targets. Since we are only about 1/8th through the school year, our goal is a 42% on the assessment at this point. We will also work on comparing and contrasting the adventures of characters in a story or novel. Check out these practice pages:
1. Interactive PBS Stories
2. Compare and Contrast Chicken Volleyball
3. Compare and Contrast Sheep Fight

Science: We will focus this week on looking at models of erosion and weathering in the classroom by building a glacier, testing “acid rain”, looking at water erosion, and watch wind erosion take place. Check out the following practice activities:
1. Studyjams video and online quiz
2. Weathering and Erosion Jeopardy
3. Erosion Simulation Game
