ELA: This week we are continuing our spelling sound patterns with
-ealth (health, stealth, wealth) and -eave (leave, heave, weave). Our first spelling test will be on Thursday. Students do not have to write the words, just identify from a group of 3 which one is spelled correctly. We are also focusing on making inferences. This is when you use clues from the story to make a logical guess about what will happen next, how characters are feeling, why a character acted in a certain way, etc. Check out the practice activities below:
1. Inferences Mystery Game
2. Inferences Riddles Game
3. Inferences Jeopardy Game

Science: We will focus on how fossils are formed this week in science. We will make a model of a fossil, learn about which fossils are the oldest, and how scientists use fossils today to learn about the past. Check out the following practice activities:
1. Build a Fossil
2. Learn About Fossils
3. Fighting Dinos Game and Story
