Week of May 6th – 10th!!

Welcome to our first full week of May! The students did amazing during MAP testing, and we are down to our final 25 days before summer begins! Here are some upcoming important events:

Monday: read 20 minutes, reading log
Tuesday: read 20 minutes, reading log
Wednesday: read 20 minutes, reading log
Thursday: read 20 minutes, reading log
Friday: reading logs due, final Pencil Palace

ELA: This week we will take our final SRI Assessment to determine the end of the year reading level. We will also take our final unit reading assessment to wrap up skills taught fourth quarter. The days we are not testing, we will work through a drama focusing on character’s motivation. We will also finish our chapter book, “The Capture” this week and look forward to watching the movie version next week! Our spelling word sets this week include the prefix un- (uncomfortable, unhappy, unable) and words with the suffix -th (strength, warmth, filth, depth, and length).

Science: This week we are focusing more on Missouri plants and animals. We are discussing how living and nonliving things interact, features of different ecosystems, and how camouflage helps living things survive. You can practice the following activities:
