We have made it to the final week of 2018! The students (and I) can’t wait for winter break to begin! Here are some upcoming dates:

Monday: read 20 minutes, RL
Tuesday: read 20 minutes, RL
Wednesday: read 20 minutes, RL, Science test
Thursday: read 20 minutes, RL, Science test
Friday: reading logs due, Classroom Parties (please bring snacks for party), dismissal at 11:50

Winter Break: December 22nd-January 6th
First day back: January 7th

ELA: This week there are no new spelling words. We will instead review analogies during our spelling time this week. We also completed our unit assessment last week, so there are no new reading learning targets. We are focusing on completing our chapter book, “Chomp” and taking a Reading Counts quiz on it.

Science: We have our unit assessment in science on Wednesday and Thursday. We will take 1/2 of the assessment on Wednesday, and finish it on Thursday. Students will bring home a practice test on Monday to review, and they already took home flash cards and a study guide last week.
