Week of October 22nd-26th!!!

It was so wonderful meeting with all of your parents last week at conferences. If you were unable to attend conferences, I am sending home your child’s report card on Monday. Please let me know if you have any questions. Here are some important dates for the week:

Monday: read 20 minutes *wear red day
Tuesday: read 20 minutes *wear a team shirt day
Wednesday: read 20 minutes *wear camo day
Thursday: read 20 minutes, Fall Family Festival at Hazelwood Central @ 5:00 pm *wear the color blue day
Friday: reading logs due (for those who are required to do them) *wear superhero items (no masks or weapons)

ELA: We will work on the following word patterns this week: -ield (yield, shield, field) and -ince (mince, since, wince, and prince). Our spelling test will be on Friday. We are also continuing our work on Author’s Purpose. You can continue practicing by visiting one of our activities last week on Author’s Purpose.

Science: We are continuing our new unit by learning more about different energy types and how energy transfers from one type to another. Check out these practice activities:
