Week of April 30th-May 1st!!!

Welcome to May! The weather looks gorgeous, and it is our last month of school before summer break! These boys and girls are so close to becoming fifth graders! Here are some upcoming dates:

Monday-Thursday: read 20 minutes, reading log
Friday: reading log due, Wildcat Assembly @ 2:45 pm, popcorn day 25 cents
Saturday: Hazelwood Run/Walk

ELA: We are working on our last set of spelling words, the prefix bi/bin (bicycle, bifocal, binary, biannual, bimonthly, binoculars). Our final spelling test of the year will be this Friday!!! We are also reviewing firsthand and secondhand accounts for our end of unit assessment. The test will take place next week. We will also finish our final novel this week, “The Capture”. We look forward to watching the movie next week!

Science:
We are continuing our animal adaptations unit by focusing on internal structures, especially the skeletal system. We will learn about vertebrates and invertebrates and discuss how bones help an animal live.
