ELA:
We are finishing up our ELA MAP test on Thursday, as well as completing our Evaluate test this week. On days we are not testing, we will continue to look at advertisements and how they sell their good or service. We will also redesign an ad for consumers in the elementary school-age range. Our spelling words include words with the with- prefix (withdraw, within, without, and withhold) as well as the be- prefix (make): befriend, bewitch, beguile, bejewel, and becalm. Check out these practice activities:

1. Propaganda Techniques video

3. Create an Advertisement Game

Science:
We are wrapping up our unit on animal adaptations by creating our own Missouri birds. Students are given different body parts that they must put together in different ways to create a new bird that could live in one of our Missouri ecosystems. Students must then write about how their bird survives given its behavioral and structural adaptations. We will finish the week by beginning a discussion on vertebrates and invertebrates. 1. Adaptations Game
2. Build Your Wild Self online game
3. Living Things in their Environment game
