Week of November 2th-December 1st!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! It was so nice to spend so much time with my family over the break. Here are some upcoming dates:

Monday-Thursday- read 20 minutes, complete reading log (if required)
Tuesday, November 28th- Dairy Queen fundraiser from 4-8 pm (flyer went home Monday)
Thursday, November 20th- final day to pass a Reading Counts quiz for the month of November and skip reading logs in
December
Friday, December 1st- reading logs due, popcorn day 25 cents, Wildcat Assembly 2:45 **last day to turn in boxed food for collection

ELA:
We are adding 2 new sets of sound patterns this week: -irth (birth, mirth, firth, girth) and -itch words (ditch, hitch, pitch, witch, switch). We are also discussing text features found in nonfiction books (glossary, table of contents, titles, diagrams, etc). Check out the following practice activities:

Science:
We are continuing our lesson on how weathering, erosion, and deposition change the Earth’s surfaces. Weathering is the breaking apart of rocks, erosion is the carrying away of the broken rocks, and deposition is the depositing of the rocks in a new place. Check out these practice activities:
