Week of November 6th-10th!!!

We have a full week of school this week. Check out our upcoming dates:
Monday-Thursday: read 20 minutes, complete reading log if required
Friday: reading logs due
Wildcat Assembly 2:45 includes Veteran’s Day recognition
popcorn day 25 cents

ELA: We are working on a new set of spelling words (cinch, winch, pinch, flinch, clinch, and finch). We will also work on reading scientific and technical text for understanding. This starts with focusing on new vocabulary that may be new to students. This week we are reading about the rain forest and words such as biodiversity, greenhouse gases, and extinct. Check out these practice activities:

Science:
This week we will focus on how Earth has changed over the course of history as we begin our new geographical unit on the Earth. We will explore different types of maps and look for evidence of change to the landforms in Missouri. We will also learn about the original Super-Continent of Pangea and looked at how plate movement has created our 7 continents. Here are some practice activities:
