Measuring Volume of Solids and Liquids

This week we have been focusing on measuring the volume of solids and liquids. We first learned how to calculate the volume of a box by measuring its length, width, and height. We then multiplied these numbers to find the volume in cubic centimeters.

Next, we learned how to calculate the volume of a liquid by pouring it into a graduated cylinder. Tomorrow we will learn to measure the volume of an irregular object by displacing it in water. Check out our scientists at work below.
